Nags runs 3 Official Competitions each year, an Official 1 Star
in April, Official event in July and the Sunshine Coast Championships in September which is a 2 Star event. We also
run Associate training days from February to November each year (weather permitting) which are lower key events
perfect for getting youngsters out and about, or getting into competition yourself.
Our training days cater for all ages and levels of riders and
horses. We split classes for juniors (under 14), Intermediate (14 to 21) and open (22+). There are also
non-judged classes for when you just want to give your horse exposure to the ring, or perhaps just work on a
particular part of a test with no pressure. We also offer freestyle and Prix Caprilli
classes.
A very popular event on our calendar is the Associate
Championships run in May. Open to any one that is either a member of Nags or the EA, this event is a memorial
day for Jean Sterling, a much missed and valued part of the Sunshine Coast dressage world. Your horse or pony
does not need to be EA registered to compete at this event.
Another much anticipated part of our competition year is the
Futurity section held in September at our 2 Star Championships. A futurity is a jackpotted class where all entry
fees are pooled and prizemoney awarded to 10th place. First prize for the Novice class has been as high as
$900.00! Nominations close at the end of March each year.
Most of our dressage days will earn you points for your
placings, which will count for our trophy and medals presentation at the end of the year (members are
eligible).

We hope to see you soon!
